Rethynk Coaching & Consulting is directed by Dr. Natasha Marroquin (she/her). She is a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT), board certified behavior analyst (BCBA-D), and has her PhD in psychology with an emphasis in behavior analysis. Additionally, she is a certified clinical trauma professional and certified person-centered thinking planner. She has 20+ years experiences in diverse background in human services, with experience spanning juvenile diversion, supporting women harmed by domestic violence, substance use recovery, and services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Across these settings, her work has centered on fostering agency and personal growth for individuals navigating complex life challenges while acknowledging the long-term impacts of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs). This broad foundation allows her to approach each person with empathy and support in real-world contexts. Integrating various approaches from the behavioral sciences, Dr. Marroquin offers evidence-based services to individuals and organizations.
Dr. Marroquin’s most extensive experience is working with adults in day program and group home settings, many of whom have developmental disabilities and are neurodivergent. This work centers on partnering with agency staff through coaching and consultation. Her approach is non-pathologizing, using people’s existing strengths to help them move towards actions aligned with their values. She has coaches individuals addressing intra- and inter- personal challenges using individually tailored behavioral approaches.
Dr. Marroquin is involved in the Louisiana Contextual Science Research Group and Constellation’s Lab both of which are geared towards research in applying contextual behavioral sciences in real-world settings. Her work is influenced by relational frame theory/ acceptance and commitment therapy, non-linear contingency analysis, and the theory of constructed emotion.
